Santino Medina, President of the SCIarc Alumni Association, sent me a reminder about the upcoming Main Event 8 fundraiser.  It’s coming up on the fifth, and it should be pretty great.  The theme is the casino royale, and when you register, you get a whole bunch of free chips with which to gamble.  Also, it will have several sketches and items to bid on.  Jennifer Siegal will be recognized as a distinguished alumni; if you’ve been following my blog, you probably know I worked with Jennifer (with Roland Ritter and Paulette Singley and Emily White) on the Los Angeles City of the Future Competition.

It all goes to a good cause:  supporting students and funding scholarships.  If you haven’t signed up yet, you still have time.  Get your reservation in advance and download the document here.

Here’s a link to the location.

Below, I’ve put an image of the Main Event 7 Installation that Kieran and I constructed in 2008.  It was called INTRUDER and it used several different automation and parametric techniques.  Thanks to Santino, Colleen, and Lynn for hooking us up with an awesome opportunity to show off our installation skills.  🙂
